Set Your Day Up For Success

During quarantine as well as now with the continued work from home phenomenon, it has been difficult to maintain any type of regular routine for many people.  More specifically, a lot of us are not getting the normal exercise from our commute to work or even walking to the grocery store as everything we need is right at our fingertips on the computer screen.  Without a regular routine it can be difficult to stay productive throughout the rest of the day.  Simply performing 5-10 minutes of exercise in the morning can help get you in the right mindset before carrying on with the stresses of your daily grind.  Along with the benefit of starting a routine to help keep you on track for the day, exercise can help:

  • Improve metabolism

  • Reduce your risk of heart disease

  • Manage blood sugar and insulin levels

  • Improve your mental health and mood

  • Keep your mind sharp

  • Improve sleep

To start building a new routine, setting small, realistic goals can be most beneficial.  One small repeated action now can lead to productive habits as you continue with them down the road.  Yes, it can be difficult but the most important part is to stick with it.  If you miss a day, don’t get frustrated and give up, there is always tomorrow!
